Music General

Hello everyone. We want to address the situation we had tonight with our Holiday Show. But first, we would like to say THANK YOU to our dancers and families. You all are 100000% the MVP’s of this whole thing. In past years, we had a power outage that happened in the middle of a show, and then a massive blizzard last year- and then this year it seemed that every technical issue that could possibly happen- did. And we are SO SORRY. Our live stream went out almost immediately. This was a technical error in equipment, not the actual stream service we used. The stream was tested, and then tested again and it was fine- until it wasn’t. And then we had other issues- which unfortunately are due to the fact that since Covid- everything had to stop, and we were given such a small amount of time to pull this together for the kids. We weren’t able to rehearse together the same way we normally do. We weren’t able to do the same run through that we normally do- because Covid restrictions didn’t allow it, and obviously we want to keep everyone safe. Tomorrow, we are going to open up our live stream access for free , because that is the least we can do. While we know that this will not fix it for everyone, we hope that our customers can understand that this show was NOT a representation of what we normally do. If there is anything else we can do for some of you, please let us know- email us at dance@musicgeneral.com.
Lastly- to our dancers- you showed everyone tonight how AMAZING you ALL are. You handled yourselves like true professionals, and it didn’t go unnoticed. If 2020 has taught is anything at all, it’s how to persevere. We are SO STINKING PROUD OF YOU, and we will be better tomorrow. ❤️❄️

I can probably speak for every parent when I say “no matter what happened tonight” the relief that a show actually happened was ENOUGH!! The sense of community and desperation to give our kids an attempt at life as it was....was enough. It makes our music general family closer and prouder because MG is amazing! I can’t wait for my family to watch the show live tomorrow. I always get goosebumps and verge of tears watching my dancer and knowing every parent feels the same!!!

All the kids did amazing and kept the show going. I was impressed by them! Thank you for everything you do for these kids.

Holding our heads high this morning! Looking forward to today’s shows! While in the back of the house last night and not being able to see what happened on stage, I can tell you I saw nothing but huge smiles and so much laughter we had to ask them to shhhh! Cameras flashing and sequins shining! Was a beautiful sight! Even had to wipe a few tears as the nerves set in. But they were HAPPY!!! Good luck to you all today! You got this!!❤️🌟❤️🌟❤️🌟❤️🌟

Thank you everyone! We have the BEST families supporting us and we are so grateful to all of you.❤️❤️

Congratulations on keeping on with the Show!! Will be better Saturday, after all for the performers!!

You know what Music General you will be just fine. What your company does for the girls confidence and strength is much more important then a technical glitch. Keep up the great work I for one am always impressed.

It goes right along with the rest of 2020 (this show WAS originally planned for fall 2020 😉). While I’m sure it was frustrating and disappointing for the live stream viewers, non of the technical issues brought down the pure excitement each dancer felt last night. The giggles and laughter after one mishap, the backstage cheers for the senior line after their performance. The smiles never left their faces. I truly believe today will go smoother, but last night my girls were back on stage in full costume and makeup. They performed for an audience for the first time in a year!! There is nothing else my heart could have asked for! Thank you for working so hard to give the dancers an opportunity to shine again! My kids needed this show! It’s the closest thing to normal we have had in a long time.

We are all learning how to use technology to keep us in life right now. Errors are inescapable. Sounds like Music General, dancers and parents are allowing humanness into the equation. Keep smiling and dancing. A sense of humor and an ability to laugh at ourselves help too.

As an actress who misses the stage so much, what you did accomplish tonight was amazing! I hear they did wonderful. Can’t wait to see it today.

Everyone did AMAZING ❤️ Thank you for all you do for our kids!! We love you!!!

Dale Christensen Diane Christensen hope you can watch tomorrow! Our daughter had a blast, thanks to everyone involved!

Once you have registered and paid for the link- it will be active for 2 HOURS ONLY- so please make sure you do not pay for the live stream until you are ready to watch the show (we recommend 10-15 early). Is the live stream recorded so they have 2 hours to watch it or do they have to sit and watch it LIVE right when its showing?
